How do you become a Kinderwelt child?
There are many stories and rumours about how and when you should register your child for kindergarten. Here's how it works with us:

Visit the kita in person
As a rule: come and see the place for yourself! Only then can you decide whether you feel comfortable and can imagine entrusting your child to us for several hours a day. Kindergarten means giving a lot of trust, and feeling at ease.

Apply for a childcare voucher (Kita-Gutschein)
To register for a kita place you need a voucher, which you apply for at your local youth welfare office (Jugendamt). This voucher can be applied for at the earliest nine months, and should be applied for at the latest two months, before the childcare is due to start. Among other things, it determines the costs and the length of care.

Settling in & arriving
Once you've chosen a kita and things are getting started, you should plan for a settling-in period of about four weeks – ideally well before you return to work. Towards the end of each kita year, we invite "new" children to playful afternoon get-togethers, so everyone can get to know each other in a relaxed way, without any pressure.
